VR MISSIONS
The
VR Missions, or “virtual reality” missions, offer a variety of hypothetical
scenarios to play through, involving characters and mobile suits primarily from
the One Year War era, but also from the post-war era (up to the Gryps
Conflict). There are approximately 100 VR Missions, with additional VR missions
available as DLC (see the Downloadable Content subsection in the Miscellany
section for details).

Gallop-class land battleship. The easiest way to take it out is to destroy
its rear turret and assault it from there. You don’t have to take out any of

Notes:

The mini-map may paint an
intimidating picture, but most of the enemies are just Magella Attack
Tanks—so hardly much of a threat. You don’t have to worry about enemy
reinforcements, so just take out the enemies at whatever pace suits you
best—just don’t take too long, because as tough as the Big Tray is, it can
still be destroyed if it takes too much fire.

Ideally, you should have
a mobile suit upgraded enough so that you can one-hit kill most of the
enemies. A ground combat Gundam at level 10 should be sufficient.

cruiser.
Notes:

There are quite a few
enemies flying around, but the main threat to the Salamis is the pair of
Musai cruisers. The fastest way to take out a Musai is to ignore the beam
turrets, fly behind them, and target the bridge.

Once the Salamis arrives
at the target area, the mission will end.

Federation Salamis-class cruiser. Unlike Musais, a Salamis has a pretty fair
anti-air defense, so you’ll probably want to take out some turrets before
targeting the bridge. The Saberfish fighters can also be annoying, so
consider taking them out, too, before destroying the Salamis.

possible) before the enemy mobile suits.

Well isn’t that a pretty
sight? In case you didn’t notice, this scene/battle is an homage to the classic
scene in Mobile Suit Gundam where the White Base launches from Jaburo, at
sunset, and ascends into space. Only now it’s the desert instead of the
jungle, and the Thoroughbred instead of the Whte Base.

This is a fairly
straightforward mission, and the enemies provide only a moderate challenge.
Once you destroy the Thoroughbred, you’ll have to contend with a very
familiar foe—the RX-78-2 Gundam. Sadly, there’s no indication of who the
pilot might be—but it’s safe to assume that Amuro Rey is inside the cockpit.

The Gundam is a
Boss-level enemy, and so even outnumbered by your MS team and allies, he’s
more than capable of utterly destroying you. Be very careful and try to keep
your distance as he’s a beast at close-range. Also be wary of his dodge-roll
which will cancel out a target lock. The Gundam is extremely fast and very
aggressive. He will usually target the player-controlled mobile suit, so use
this to your advantage: keep your distance and focus on avoiding his attacks
while your allies slowly wear him down. As you would expect from a famous
newtype, the infamous Gundam provides quite the challenge.

Your targets are a trio
of Zeon ACT Zaku mobile suits, but before they enter the combat area you’ll
need to deal with an obscene number of enemies—Veteran-level Rick Doms and
Ace-level Gelgoogs, mostly, as well as a pair of Zanzibar-class cruisers. For
the latter, just ignore the turrets and take out the Zanzibars’ bridges first
to destroy them.
